There are so many little things that remind me of childhood, and looking for tadpoles and frogs is one of them. I've never been a fan of creepy-crawlies; I was never the girl like my fearless niece, picking up worms and excitedly showing everyone in sight, but frogs I adore. Each Summer, we catch them pouncing around the garden and Archie loves it when we find one; animatedly chattering about what Mr Froggy's name must be and where he lives (Does he live in Toad Manor, Mummy?).

When we discovered hundreds of tadpoles and baby frogs recently on a visit to Dyrham Park, Archie was in his element. The sunshine was beautiful and I may have been just as excited as A was to be able to hold and watch the tadpoles-turned-baby frog's swimming in the pond. It was lovely seeing him sit with Grandad searching for them, knowing that I probably did exactly the same as a child (you're getting old, Dad!).
